Distances and minimum ages
The minimum age is based on the age you turn during the event year, 2027.
166, 83 and 55 km: at least 18. 34 km: at least 15. 13 km: at least 12.
Entry fee and included services
You will see the current entry fee when you choose your distance during registration. The price depends on the distance and the pricing tier in effect at the time.
Your entry fee includes a bib and safety pins, timing, a marked route, drinks and food at aid stations, transport from aid stations to the finish for participants who have withdrawn, a meal at the finish, washing facilities for day visitors and a medal.
On the 166 km, you can send a drop bag to Oulanka and Hautajärvi; on the 83 km, to Oulanka. On the 34, 55 and 83 km, your start bag is returned to the finish in Ruka.
Bus to the start
A bus from Ruka to the 34, 55 and 83 km start areas is available for an extra fee. The bus is not included in the entry fee. It costs €21 until the end of 18 May 2027 and €34 from 00:00 Finnish time on 19 May 2027.
How the start works
When you register, choose a broad start window: a period during which you intend to set off. In spring, choose a bus departure from Ruka if you are taking the bus, or an arrival time at the start area if you are making your own way there. These choices do not set your exact start time on the route. Staff release participants onto the route according to conditions at the start area, and your timing begins when you actually set off.
GPS tracking
GPS tracking bookings open through your personal registration link around 2–3 weeks before the event. We will email you when bookings open.
Zoomer discount
The Zoomer discount is 30% off the entry fee for participants who turn no more than 26 during the event year.
Changes, changing distance and cancellation
Through your personal registration link, you can correct and change your details, change the runner’s name or distance, and transfer your entry to the following year once.
Entry fees are not refunded if you cancel. If you change to a more expensive distance, you pay the difference between the entry fees in effect at the time. If you change to a cheaper distance, the difference is not refunded. A €21 change fee applies from 00:00 Finnish time on 19 May 2027.
