NUTS Karhunkierros brings nearly 4,000 runners from more than 30 countries to northern Finland. It is a big event with a straightforward promise: honest trails, excellent organisation and a finish line at Ruka.

The Rukapalvelu Race Stay Package combines three nights in the new Rukariutta Apartments (27–30 May) with guaranteed race entry before public registration opens. Bed linen, towels, final cleaning, parking and a fully equipped kitchen are included. Extra nights and selected activities can be added.

Event entry only
Best for independent travellers.
Enter directly with NUTS and arrange accommodation and travel separately. At registration, choose a broad period in which you intend to start your distance. For 34, 55 and 83 km, a paid bus from Ruka to the start area is available. In spring, choose a bus departure from Ruka if you travel by bus, or an arrival time at the start area if you travel independently. Neither choice is an assigned start group or your exact start time on the route. Follow the team’s instructions at the start area; timing begins when you actually start.

Getting to Ruka
Kuusamo Airport is about 30 kilometres from Ruka. Build in time for the journey, your kit check and a proper look at the fells before the start.
